Step 1 — Let an accepted learner choose sections after the payer is confirmed (Priority: P1)

Navigate: Log in as applicant@example.com / TestPass123! → https://sp-dev.fly.dev/accounts/applications/`
Act: Read the line under the application. Click the Select sections button.

Act: Open the gate directly. Also check My Applications.

Act: Open the gate. Do not click Confirm payer yet.
Navigate: Superuser → https://sp-dev.fly.dev/admin/applications/application/` → open that reference number
Act: Set Status to Under Review and save. Log in as the applicant and open the select-sections gate.
Navigate: Staff application detail, then the learner gate
Act: Reload the staff page. Reload My Applications and the select-sections gate.

Act: Read the gate. Do not look for a section list to enroll in.


You're done when
Given an accepted applicant with a confirmed self-pay payer, When that confirmation is saved, Then the learner can select sections.
My Applications says You may select sections, with a primary Select sections button to the gate and an outline Review cart button beside it. The gate title is Select sections and the page says You may go on to select sections. Eligible sections will be listed here in a later step. There is no course list, cart, or payment. On the staff application, Confirm payer reads Confirmed. There is no Open enrollment button.
The gate says Your enrollment stays closed until your application is accepted and your payer is confirmed. My Applications does not offer the Select sections button.
The gate still says enrollment stays closed. My Applications does not offer the Select sections button. After US1-1, the same gate opens.
The gate says enrollment stays closed. My Applications does not offer select sections. Restore Status to Accepted when you are done so later checks still have an open path.
Confirm payer stays Confirmed. The date and time do not change. The button does not come back. The learner still sees one You may select sections line, and the gate still says they may go on. No second opening appears.
